Gurugram: Fight over parking turns ugly, eight held
GURUGRAM: A dispute over parking inside Tulip Orange residential society in Sector 70 turned violent when a group of youth attacked the RWA president and others on Sunday. The accused also threatened other residents with weapons when they tried to intervene. Police arrested eight people for the brawl on Monday. The residents said that two men, who stay in Tower B of the society, and their friends had parked multiple cars haphazardly in the parking area. They had parked about six to eight vehicles against the allotted space for two cars leaving little room for others.
On Sunday, VK Bhutani, a resident of B-Tower, was discussing the issue with RWA president Binu Nayar near Tower B when around 10 youths reached the spot in three different cars and started abusing and thrashing them. When other residents tried to intervene, the accused abused them and threatened them with weapons.
“Before we could understand anything, they attacked us. Hearing the commotion, other residents came outside but they too were abused at. They finally fled after more residents came to our rescue,” Nayar said.
